The Emmaus Historical Society collects objects, photographs, documents of all kinds, book and genealogical materials - anything that tell the story of Emmaus and its people.

Much of our collection has come from people who value the Emmaus Historical Society & Museum as a secure and trustworthy repository for their historical treasures and know that in helping provide a piece of Emmaus” history, they are making the story richer and more complete for generations to come.

Make Emmaus history a part of your life. Play a role in the preservation of Emmaus or Emmaus resources for enjoyment for yourself, your children and for the children of tomorrow.

Our Collections Committee is happy to accept anything and everything Emmaus related. Whether it was made, purchased, used or found in Emmaus, it is part of our history and worthy of preservation. We have buttons and bows, as well as furniture and a cast iron stove, and everything in between. Bibles, books, newspapers, photos and framed pieces are also part of our vast collection.

If you have items to donate, please complete the Deed of Gift Form and bring your donation(s) to the Museum or call the office at 610.966.6591 to make arrangements.

Contributions to the General Fund support our operating expenses, programs and special events.

Emmaus Historical Society memberships also fund these same expenses but do not cover them in their entirety.

Become a Volunteer

The Emmaus Historical Society is an all-volunteer organization. All that we do, and have done, since our founding in 1992, is accomplished by our volunteers. We are always looking for additional volunteers to assist us with the many tasks of running the Emmaus Historical Society.

Consider volunteering with us in what you may love to do. We have needs from time to time on the Board of Directors and also on any of the following committees: Membership, Programs, Finance, Fundraising, Publicity/PR, Website, Newsletter, Historical & Research, Museum, Hospitality, Buildings & Grounds, and Special Events. Please visit this page to view our specific needs right now.

Please contact us to join us as a volunteer.
